Balcon Del Mar apartments good value for money, no frills but clean and comfortable bed, good hot water supply for baths-shower, you wouldnt want to spend any time in it and could do with a half decent tv and nice lamp in winter, it´s a bit like an empty shell inside but like I say they were clean and that´s what matters and for the price you cant complain, walked down to Spenders but was closed, looks like a nice little bar though from the outside although shutters were down, I cant get over how dead the place is, the bars, restaurants and taxi drivers are on their arse, there´s not many people about and those that are have very little money seemingly, it saddens me to see things like this, weather was unsettled till Friday then bang summer arrived so hopefully will pick up all round. I strongly recommend Bodega and Bodeco 2 different restaurants in the old town plus Paddy´s Bar and the Irish Times, Matagorda at the other end was a ghost town, all in all enjoyed the break, also give Purple Turtle a try for snack foods and Crowded House bar at night as they seem like a lovely couple struggling like everyone else. Puerto Del Carmen still does it for me and will be back in January recession or no recession

I'm comin over in a few weeks John. I'll be bobbin in for a few buddy. Don't forget to hide the winnin bingo ticket under the counter for me !! ha ha,,,,,better still, a winnin lottery ticket if ya can !! I know I'm not a footy fan John, but I hope the lads from The Toon don't get relegated matey. It would be a cryin shame for a team like N.U to be playin football in the "other" division. Dannielle at the Galleon is rippin her hair out at present..... I think I'd better bring some anti-depressants over for her if they have to take the drop !! Still,,,one game left, so fingers crossed.

Hello Mick, I managed to watch the 2nd hald of the games on Sunday with John and the place was absolutely packed out, I think danielle was in there too mate and wasn't happy with them getting relegated, still I am sure they'll bounce back ! Still say he should have brought Guttierez on John ! PS Passed your message onto Sue mate !
