Hi,
We are off to Puerto del Carmen in 2 weeks on 8th june. We are staying with Cosmos in Villa Geno, does anyone know where this is and has anyone stayed there? Also any info about supermarkets etc in PDC would be great.
Thanks

Hello everyone,

I know a few people have read my message, so please could someone reply!

I think i have an idea of the location of the Villa its not too far from the San Antiono hotel.

Please can someone tell me about Cardic Hill and will we need to go up to get to shops etc?

I am disabled so would really like to know in advance.

Thank you in anticipation of replies. [sorry can't spell]

hi shadow,

i'm afraid i dont know the san antonio end of the resort very well. so i dont know where your villa is.

however, you wont need to worry about cardiac hill. it's nowhere near you, & you wont need to go up it for anything.

there are hundreds of bars & eating places in the resort. loads of mini-supermarkets too. if you head into pdc itself, walk down the beach side of the road. the pavement is much wider that side. when you reach the main drag (beach)from your villa, turn right & walk for about 20 mins or so & you'll see bars etc on the other side of the road. if the walk's too much, cabs are dirt cheap.

hope this helps?

hi again shadow,

i've just seen on the "trip advisor forum", (jeffries?) that your villa is near calle bocaina, which is off of calle anzuelo. if you look here, you'll see.....

http://www.discoverlanzarote.com/images ... en_map.gif

calle anzuelo is, i'm afraid, a fairly steep hill, but nowhere near as bad as "cardiac" (calle guanapay). we we're in pdc the 1st week of may, & one side of calle anzuelo was being dug up for new drains to be laid. this may have finished by now?

i wouldn't say that villa geno is at the san antonio end of the resort, i think it's pretty central. if you turn right at the bottom of calle anzuelo, your only 5-10 mins from all the bars etc.

if you want to go to the beach, turn right at the bottom of calle anzuelo, there's a zebra crossing 1 min up the road. cross over, & walk for about 5 mins, until you can see "the tavern" on the other side of the road. just up from there are a set of steps/ramp to the beach. there are loads of sun-beds for hire, & more importantly, the only public loos/showers on the whole beach. i'm sure you'll enjoy it.

we go for 3 weeks on 8 june, so if you see a short bald bloke wearing some form of watford shirt, that'll probably be me. i'll be in linekers for the england games.

Yes, believe me you certainly won’t miss Dave if he’s wearing that Yellow Watford shirt.

Cheers - Ole
