Hello

I am considering renting a villa on Avenida Francia. Can anyone tell me whether this is a busy road please? I'm obviously keen to ensure that my peace and quiet isn't affected by road noise.

Also, do you think I'd need to purchase pool heating in mid-June? It seems very expensive and I wonder whether it will be warm enough at that time of year without it.

Many thanks!

That is a quiet road and you´ll not be troubled with traffic.
Try google earth for a closer look.
Don´t bother with the heating, june is normally very nice, the water is always cool but its very refreshing.

Thanks Cymmon

I've stayed in that area before, though not on that road, and it was quiet then, but it will be my first time in pdc since the road changes so I wondered whether the one-way system had increased the traffic volume on the back roads.

The buses travel up to the roundabout then turn right. Traffic hasn´t increased in that area.

Stop every year for 2 weeks in may and again 2 weeks in November on Calle Francia never had a problem with traffic noise even when they close the Avienda from the costa luz to the san antonio for the run in November and diverted around the back along Calle Francia.
I take my 2 childeren and never need pool heating at all and we are in the pool from around 7:30am until late.

Back to the Island in 3 weeks cannot wait this is my second home or will be very soon.

I hope this helps.

Leeby.
