I'm trying to find rental details of villas in a specific area of Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca. The villas are directly opposite the Gran Melia Volcan Hotel on Calle El Castillo. Does anyone know of anyone who markets these villas or has seen a contact number or address?

I think you need to check area of "Las Coloradas" we've rented a villa in the next road (Calle de la Gaveta ) found on Owners Direct but not all advertisers state exactly where villas are untill you contact them.

We've rented a large villa off that road many times, but only four of us going in October, so were looking for something smaller in the same area.

Hi
just browsing and noticed your post, did you find a villa in that area...looking ourselves and wondered if you could recommend anything. Think i know where you are talking about...can you see them whilst walking along the walkway just before you come to Rubicon Marina?

Well the villa we booked last August for a large family get together has been sold ! the new owners are not letting. As we were dealing with agents they referred us to owners to get our deposit back, just supplied an email address, but eventully the money returned to our account we then tried to get another large villa with sea views, many many people were very helpful we even had calls from owners in Lanzarote saying how unfortunate, anyway managed to find another villa nearby in same road. But should owners take deposit if they are selling ? they have had our money for 7 months before re funding.

When we sold our apartment in La Manga 2 years ago we were told by the estate agent to keep taking bookings and deposits but to put this money in to a separate account so in the eventuality of the apartment being sold we could re-imburse them a.s.a.p. and recommend other places to rent.
It is unfortunate that your money was not reimbursed straight away and that they did not feel it their responsibility to help as much as possible in recommending another let. The problem is that if you put your property on the market it could take 12months to sell and during that time if you dont rent it out you have lost a lot of revenue which for a lot of people pays their mortgage, community fees, taxes, and utilities so it is not an option 'not' to rent.
It sounds as though you got a bad apple here and they should have helped a lot more than they did. When we sold all my clients were reimbursed within 10 days and we also found alternative accomodation for all of them. Best of luck and enjoy your holidays.
