Hi,

I am thinking of booking one of these villas in the next few weeks. Generally the reviews I've read have been very good with a couple of exceptions. The first is security as there appeared to be quite a few breakins, but those reviews are a couple of years old.

The other thing I am concerned about is noise. I am ok wih the aircraft noise but one review I read said there is a lot of trafiic noise

Can anyone who has stayed recently provide an update.

Thanks

geejaybee, We have stayed in these villas 3 times in the last 4 years. Firstly, there is a road / roundabout directly at the front of the villas which takes you into pdc. But it isnt noisy from inside. we were in villa number 1 twice which is closest to the roundabout with no problems at all. The space of the villas is fantastic, round the pool etc, and the sun is there all day. really relaxing. only noise you'll hear is maybe people in their pool next door, which is nothing compared to sitting at an over crowded pool in a hotel say. If your hiring a car like we did, they are also handy as they have their own parking with a gate.
we were also worried about security as we had read all the posts about break ins too, but we never seen any wierdos anyware in matagorda, no-one lurking about etc etc, how ever we did go out and left the villa lit up like blackpool, just to give it a look like we were in as most other villas went out and left theirs in darkness.
Only problem we had was the sliding doors of our upstairs bedroom woudnt lock properly and thomas cook didnt get it fixed before we left. they were spotlessly clean with all cooking accessories etc you'll need.
Commercial centre is 2-3 minutes stroll which is fab. loved the stroll down the hill to dj's beach bar for a lovely cold pint of an afternoon. :D
On aircraft noise, yes they are close by and you cant help but hear them but I personally never found them a problem.
Its hard not to be worried by some of the neggative feedback, but i would highly recomend them.

I have uploaded some pics for you of the villas, all include views from the villa etc..... hope that helps you out :D

If I am staying in a hotel or villa and go out, I always leave the TV on with the sound on.
