Hi
Going to CT staying at the Mansion Nazaret on the 15th April for 10 nights, looks lovely and looking forward to time alone with my 13yro daughter.
Anyone know if it will be bikini weather then?
Is there any advice anyone thinks would help my daughter and I to have a nice holiday as its her first abroad and only my 2nd.
Would love advice on nice local places to eat as we are going self catering to give us freedom.
Any advice welcome as Im feeling a bit nervous and overwhelmed at the prospect of this holiday.

Thanks
Val.

It's always bikini weather here, except for the few days it rains. Today it will be somewhere between 21c and 25c and there is a clear blue sky. In fact, make sure you bring and use factor 15, or more, sun tan lotion, otherwise you WILL burn.

I live in Playa Blanca, not Costa Teguise, but I know there are dozens of places to eat there, and great beaches. Looking on the hotel's web site, it seems to be close to the main centre so everything will be within walking distance. Don't worry about speaking the language, everyone speaks English in the places you'll go to.

Your normal bank cash card will work in any hole in the wall, so don't bring large amounts of cash with you.

My only word of caution is, don't buy anything electronic unless you really know what you are getting, that it really is what it says (eg really AKAI and not AKLAI),that it really is in the box you walk out with and that you know how much you would pay in UK. There are not any real bargains with the exchange rate.

Don't worry, you'll have a great time. If you feel up to it, hire a car for a couple of days and drive out to the Timanfaya volcanoes, the inland town of Teguise and look for Cesar Manrique's house - not far from CT, and like a James Bond film set. Please try to see the Island as well as CT, most of us that live here think it is beautiful.

Thank you so much for the advice every little helps.

Sadly I dont drive but I will be finding a way to visit the volcano when i get there.

My daughter has just seen photos of the water park and is very excited.

I cant wait to be there and sit in the sun with a beer or two or three.

My husband and son are soo jealous we are going without them lol
