I am going to PDC for a week in March for the 5th time and have always had a lovely holiday. Staying in the Old Town, as usual, and am wondering how far it is to Playa Honda. Is it too far to walk? I have heard there is a lovely promenade there with some lovely tapas bars and restaurants and fancied lunch there one day. Really looking forward to March. It is pouring down here in sunny Wales as I speak.

It's a really nice walk and should take about an hour from ther old town,maybe slightly longer but it's all level.

I'd say it's an 1 and a half to 2 hour walk depending how quick you walk. It's a nice walk though along the prom and past the airport.

Agreed, it is a really nice easy walk, about 90 or so minutes from the old town.

If you are feeling really energetic or adventerous you could walk to Arrecife ! it's about another 5 miles from there

Now that is a walk !!...you will get the bus back though mark my words !

It's quite satisfying sitting at the top of the gran hotel with a cold beer and seeing actually how far you have come !

It's a good walk as others have said from PdC to Playa Honda, ever thought of cycling? We often cycle from PdC to Arrecife and back it's a lovely morning / afternoon out. The beach at La Concha, just after restaurant Emmax in Playa Honda is a handy half way point. Swim, rest then on to Arrecife.

Another option is walk the cliffs from old town harbour PdC to Puerto Calero , or if you feeling fit, onwards to Playa Quemada and then lunch and walk, or if wrecked ! taxi back.
