Is the water park in Lanzarote any good as ive just read a lot of bad reviews...

Not as good as it used to be.We were there last year,in September,virtually empty which was good as no queing for slides,but walking is very painful in bare feet as the paths are in poor condition, also seriously in need of an update,starting to look very tired.
I remember about 8 years ago it was a very good day out, the standards of the park/ takeaway/restaraunt were good but sadly not anymore.
Kids may see it differently though, as a day playing slides and splashing in water is always good fun

Any good places to vist?

The caves of los verdes is an excellent day out,taken by a guide through 2km underground,exciting for kids.
Also hire bikes and enjoy a ride to Arrecife on safe walking / bike route, Timanfaya national park is a good day out,take a tour bus from up there, also camel rides beforehand.
