Me and my girlfriend are going to Lanzarote in 3 weeks. What should we take with us? Do we need towels generally? Or do the accomodation supply them? Any advice would be great.
Cheers

Normally towels are in your apartment. If you like the comfort of your own then take them. All bedding is supplied. Only hotels normally supply soap, shampoo etc.
Most standard UK food and drink is readilly available on the Island.

Normally you will only be supplied with bath towels, so you will need to bring your own beach towels for the pool/beach. Having said that, you can buy cheapo beach towels in the resorts and some hotels/accommodation will offer the option of renting beach towels.

Cymmon - why would they want standard UK food and drink?! They're coming to Lanza!!!
Depending on your budget I would just buy some cheapo beach towels out in Lanza and save packing space.
Mid July its going to be scorchio so don't forget sun hats, factor 25 etc

Foodie - some people still like the comforts of home, I personally don´t.
I lived there for 2 years and indulged in the Spanish lifestyle apart from drinking Strongbow cider, perhaps I should have drunk cidra from Northern Spain (not the canaries).
There are McDonalds, KFC, Burger King (american???) available, but also fantastic Tapas bars.
Every taste is catered for.....
I love the Lanzaroteño lifestyle, but that is my opinion, I like to offer all options, even if i don´t like or use them.

Cymmon,
Think that your advice is valuable. Personally I go to a different country to taste their cuisine and take in the whole experience but that doesn't mean everyone does. Fair play to the individual.

JayC wrote: If they rent an apartment or they make some reservation, it's better to have a self catering. This may be a good idea to think it into the right one service. To that, we can make a self catering that we have an experience for the services. Errrr, nope, don't understand a word of that

It's an SEO, Zengs, not a real post. The moderator will eventually catch up.
Andy, have you tried asking the place you arestaying, or the company you booked through? There isn't any general rule, so you might come unstuck taking advice here - especially if you don't say which hotel or apartments you are staying in.
