Does anyone know of excursions that cater for people with special needs?
I have a request for information from a medium-sized group, but don't know of anyone.

Can I suggest one not to do and that is the Cactus Garden. Whilst it's a great place for able bodied, the pathways are made of stones rather like piedra walls, and the front wheels of wheelchairs get caught between them. We abandoned a visit after a few minutes because of that. Also the elevated paths have big, unguarded drops off the edges, and many of the big spikey plants grow over the paths. Pity really, because apart from that, I think it one of the best visitor attractions on the Island.

Can you tell me where Cactus Garden is and how to get to it from PDC.

Thanks in anticipation.

It's at Guatiza of the LZ1 north of Arrecife on the way to Arrieta and Orzola. I'm not sure about public transport, since I've always driven. There is some info in the "what to do " section to the left of this page.

Hi

My name is Debbie Reid and I have just set up a new excursion company called Lanza Eco Tours, I noticed during the setting up process that there were no services for disabled clients and decided to look into the possibilities of setting up excursions such clients. At the moment there is nothing on our website about our disabled tours only general information. However, I have put together a programme for disabled clients, which I can send to you via email (I cannot attach the file to this email) I will need to know a little bit about your group eg how many clients and the degree of disability, if you could send me this information via debbie@lanzaecotours with some direct contact details then I am sure that we will be able to help with your problem.

Regards

Debbie Reid
Director
