There is a good bike shop in Deiland Shopping centre, on the bottom floor.
Also a shop in Arrecife, on c/ fajardo, do a google search if you don´t know the street.
I paid €160 for a 21 speed, mountain bike complete with trip computer and lights etc.

Think the shop may be called Burbuja.
In Arrecife its opposite the Barclays bank, just off the main street, C/ leon y castillo.
Google earth shows the street name, c/ Fajardo , the shop is at the town end on the left hand side.

It's not local but my shop can deliver to Lanzarote for £49.99. www.realcycles.com If anyone off here wants a bike, deal me me, Steve, and I'll do the best deal possible.

Sorry if this is deemed commercial and against the rules.

Just to let everyone who replied to my request of where to buy a bike,we did buy two from Flinstones in Matagorda ( on the promenade by the centre ) We bought two secondhand ones which were 500 euros new for 250 euros each. They are great bikes and we are very pleased with them. They also maintain them for you,we can thoroughly recommend them. :D

Hi Cymmon,
We saw the same bikes but you get what you pay for. The one you bought is almost certainly steel ( ours are aluminium ) as it's only the cheap steel ones that have rear suspension and although you probably have shimano gears there are different types and quality. I am sure your bike is fantastic, but we wanted high quality to last us a long time !

Ok, so we bought absolutely inferior bikes. But They were excellent, reliable, light and with front and back suspension.
We loved them and only paid €160 brand new.
Enjoy.

Yeah the guys at Flinstones (on the promenade at Matagorda) are great ... certainly know what they are talking about when it comes to bikes and often have new or second hand ones for sale!
Happy cycling you have a great place to start from!
Phil
