Coming to PB in July, was wondering if it was breezy in the evening, and will we need a cardie? We were in costa teguise a few years ago and my daughter and i need a cardie at night so wondered if it was the same.
Thanks

I dont think its nearly as windy as Costa teguise, Im sure if you check back soon someone who spends more time than me there will be able to tell you for definate, but costa is the windiest resort I think.

The advice for any part of the island for any time of year is bring something warm for the evenings. It can be windy anywhere at any time.

In my experience, it is never cold enough in July to justify wearing a cardie in PB. :P

I know that for newcomers to Lanzarote, the wind can be tiresome. But just think how hot it would be without. It is all part of the fantastic climate of the island which makes probably its outstanding attraction. Not much of a problem packing a fleece/ cardigan. For me it is pure luxury being able to wear light clothes for most of the time.

Two visits, both around that time, sweltering me nuts off, even in the evening. 8)

That's a bit limited Zaba. It's like saying you went to the west of Scotland a couple of times and it didn't rain, so you never need to take a brolly.

My experience is living in Playa Blanca for 155 July evenings and trust me, some were windy and chilly.

Been coming to the Island for 15 years+ and never needed a cardy in the "summer" months.

Thanks all, it is good to know so we can be prepared, last time we were caught out so this time i will pack a couple of light cardies. The wind is great during the day but i think you feel it colder, due to the breeze, than it actually is in the evening if you have been exposed to the sun during the day. Also i am a cold tattie at the best of times! looking forward to 2 weeks of sweltering heat, only 7 weeks to go Wahey!

I was in Playa Blanca last July and it was really windy in the night and quite cold in the wind.. Isn't July the windy month in Lanzarote? I'm going beginning of August this year and hopin it will be gone lol

Been alive 30+ years and never resorted to wearing a cardie!! Have left strict instructions for me to be shot if seen wearing one?!

July the windy month?! July and Aug too hot for me!
Without the wind it would be horrific!

I'll buy the cardie, what size Foodie !!

Actually, never wear cardie or long trousers or anything other than tshirts, short sleeved shirts and shorts. I don't go on hols to look great (shaddup) but to chill out. Quite enjoy a cool breeze in the evenings, a welcome break from the daytime un-relenting heat.
