Lanzarote Airport (Airport Code: ACE), also known as Arrecife or Guacimeta is the only Airport serving the Island and consists of two terminals (T1 and T2). T2 is used mostly for inter-island flights, so the vast majority of foreign visitors pass through T1.
Frequent scheduled routes now connect Lanzarote with the UK, Germany and mainland Spain, with the dependence on charter flights lessening considerably in recent years. Nevertheless, most flights between Scandinavia and further afield are still controlled by Tour operators. It should be noted that while the main changeover-day is still Thursday, in recent years Sunday has become busier and there are now international flights every day.
