Lanzarote Markets

There are several open-air flea markets (where you can buy crafts, souvenirs and fakes) and several agricultural markets on the island where you can buy local farm produce.

Teguise Market
Location: Teguise (throughout the village centre)
The Island's biggest and oldest open-air Market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. There are literally hundreds of stalls selling craft items, tourist souvenirs and fake designer goods. The normally sleepy town comes alive and is buzzing with both locals and tourists.
Every Sunday from 09:00 to 14:00

Arrecife Market
Location: Recinto del Parque Temático de Arrecife (beside the Cabildo)
Launched in 2010, this market offers craft items and souvenirs, food items and local agricultural produce. Its location beside the bus stop on the south side of Arrecife make it very accessible to tourists from all over the Island.
Every Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00

Marina Rubicon Market
Location: Marina Rubicon, Playa Blanca
This market offers a slightly more upmarket range of Jewellery, Clothes, Crafts and Books than some of the other markets and makes for a perfect excuse for a trip to Playa Blanca's Marina.
Every Wednesday and Saturday between 09:00 and 14:00

Playa Blanca Market
Location: Calle La Concha (off the Playa Blanca – Femes road)
For some bizarre reason there are two markets held in Playa Blanca on the same day and at the same time! This one is smaller than the other and offers the usual sunglasses and tourist souvenirs.
Every Wednesday and Saturday between 09:00 and 14:00

Costa Teguise Market
Location: Pueblo Marinero, Costa Teguise
This market offers the usual tourist souvenirs and fakes, but is worth a visit since it is held in the evening and Pueblo Marinero has a nice atmosphere where you can enjoy some Tapas, drinks or a more formal dinner in between browsing the stalls.
Every Friday between 17:00 and 22:00

Haría Market
Location: Plaza León y Castillo
This market is a little different than the rest, located as it is in the sleepy village square of Haría. On offer is a selection of craft items along with fresh local fruit, veg, local dairy products and pastries.
Every Saturday between 10:00 and 14:00

Mancha Blanca Market
Location: Mancha Blanca (opposite the Church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores)
This agricultural market is not too touristy and draws mostly locals Shopping for fruit and vegetables. Lanzarote's local produce is well worth trying with the cherry-plum tomatoes, papas crias (somewhat similar to truffles) and baby potatoes all particularly noteworthy.
Every Sunday between 09:00 and 14:00
