Lanzarote Aquarium
The Lanzarote Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands, with over a million litres of water, distributed in 33 aquariums in which hundreds of marine species can be observed and enjoyed.
Lanzarote Aquarium has a large biological collection where you can find native fish from the Canary Islands, such as the triggerfish, "golden fishes" and "fulas", and beautiful tropical fishes of different colours and forms, such as clown fishes, poisonous fire dragons, globe fishes, funny lobsters and cleaning crabs. Visitors can observe an ample variety of warm water sharks, swimming gently inside the main water tank of 400,000 litres from a submarine tunnel.
Lanzarote Aquarium has three touching-pools where both children and adults can touch and enjoy animals such as sea cucumbers, starfish, sea urchins, coastal-zone fish and small crabs while learning about their anatomy and way of life.
The aim of the Aquarium is to show the marine world and all its wonders to everybody who wants to enjoy an escape from reality by diving into the depths of the sea. However, the great importance of environment education has not been forgotten. With this in mind, they have created a "rubbish aquarium", a small re-creation of the current state of some areas of Lanzarote's coast, aiming to raise environmental awareness that will make it possible for sea life to continue without the dangers of marine contamination.
Lanzarote Aquarium also offers those with a diving qualification the opportunity to dive inside the tank with the Sharks, Rays and Groupers. The dive lasts 20 minutes and costs €129.

November 1st - March 31st from 10.00 am. to 18.00 pm.
April 1st - October 31st from 10.00 am. to 19.00 pm.

Groups
For groups of more than 20 people, a tourist guide is included in price, however the tour must be pre-booked.
A tour guide for groups of less than 20 people can also be reserved. Ask for prices.
The guided tour can be in English, German or Spanish.
Diving with Sharks
Participants: People with or without diving certificate.
When:Wednesday and Fridays
Time: from 9h00 to 14h00.
Price: 129€
Conditions: A health certificate form (model PADI) must be completed, this will be provided by the Aquarium.
Total Time: One and a half hours, time diving inside of the Aquarium’s central tank: 15-20 minutes.
What you must bring: towel, swimsuit and hygiene products.
If you have a dive certificate, must bring it.
Spectators: if you want to bring your family and friends to see you swimming with sharks, they can buy the ticket to the Aquarium, the prices are 12€ adults and 8€for children.
