Was wondering that myself......given the amount of damage and destruction I suppose restoring internet access is the least of the authorities problems.......hopefully he is OK and will be back on here when access is restored......meanwhile we are thinking of you Cymmon and hoping that all is well with you.

Oh I do hope he is well and safe. He is such a nice chap and seems to do a lot of good over there for people and the environment.

Fingers crossed that all is well

Hi everyone, thanks for the concern.
I just got a few cuts and bruises, place next door collapsed other buildings badly damaged, lots of dead unfortunately. Hit by a second storm yesterday but things are progressing well. Water is being air-dropped as I type, the worldwide response has been fantastic, aircraft ARE landing at Tacloban, so help is on the ground.

Once again, thanks for your concern, it takes more than that to stop cymmon!

Looks like only 3000 deaths, so a lot less than feared. I'm now on Siargao Island, going to Butuan Friday.

Once again, thanks for your concern, was a bit worrying at the time.

Looks like the hard work paid off. We should be able to get the licences and other paperwork ready for a start next March.

We have letters of intent for investors to enable the work on a small complex that will allow the community to work together to get an eatery (cafe), sari-sari (basics) shop and also set up workshops to allow training in cookery and finance/management for youngsters in the community.

I'm happy now that this community have accepted that they can grow and move onwards and upwards to help themselves.
