Bitacora is a nice little complex, and the hill from the front to the complex is far from Cardiac ....
5 mins stroll at a Maximum ... :-)

Hi Isobel

So glad you had a good time and didn't struggle with cardiac hill. We used to stay at Los Pueblos which was cheap and cheerful with a nice warm small pool and lovely views, but had to opt for elsewhere after my husband developed heart problems as this was also up a very steep and windy hill. Mind you, I must admit, I was finding it a struggle too!

Am interested in La Vela; there's only one (German) review on Tripadvisor and that was posted last month. Are they a new restaurant do you know? Could you give me an indication of the menu, prices etc or at least what you ate whilst there?
Don't know if you have thought of putting a review on TA yourself? I think it's always nice to support the people that deserve it :D Any other good meals anywhere?

Best regards

Anne

Looked it up on Google Earth and it's a sideroad off Avenidas Playa with the Oriental World restaurant on the corner. Address is Calle Doramas 3 :)

Hi
The address you put was correct. Just around the corner from Oriental World. We had sea food Paella, Mussels, garlic
prawns and two jugs of sangria for 55 euros and it really was mouth wateringly nice. We go to Greece a lot and have a restaurant there that nothing has ever beat, but La Vela did it. We did eat in a few other places in Pdc and across the island and it was nice but La Vela was very very nice :) i could not find them on trip advisor, but yes they are new, only been open a few months.
