We haven't particularly decided to move out to Lanzarote, you could say it's an impossible dream. before we consider to move, we need to look for employment so anyone who is looking for a driver, or someone to do some bar work or cleaner or something alone those lines, please get back to me, thanks. :o

Lanzarote is very different to the UK. 99.9% of the time you will have to be on the Island before you will have any chance of a job. Also you will need relevant Spanish Social security number and residencia unless you want to attempt to work illegally....

I have done all of the research and know all about an NIF number, applying for residency, payment for schools, opening a bank account and even making the move. We have also talked about how much money we would need to have to afford to live without jobs until we can find one but the minimum price is still too much for us to afford and it would take years and years to have that kind of money. Is it possible to find a job before moving out?

Our family has experience with bar work, cleaning, driving and entertainment.
But the only problem from stopping us from relocating is financial shortage, any advice?

Bearing in mind the high unemployment rate on the Island even for the locals, I would look at delaying any move until you have sufficient reserves for a minimum 6 months without work.

Good advice Cymmon.
You may want to examine your reasons for leaving the UK - the standard of living for someone doing those jobs is far lower in lanza than in UK. Even if you find a job you'll be work far longer in far worse conditions than at home with no safety net, no tax credits, job seekers, healthcare etc.....is the uk all that bad?!
Plus schooling and future for your kids.....being brutal its a bit of a backwater.

Yes, that's what my family said, we need 6 months worth of money so we can live til we find jobs but it would take years for us to come into half of what we need!
any advice or idea's on how we can get our hands on the money?

Become a politician, footballer or banker?

On the more realistic side, don't even attempt the move without the 6 month back up, or you could be back in the UK quicker than you think and worse off.

Or move to the Philippines like I have....... :D

Cymmon is saying that you need to amass at least 6 months living money in UK before you come here. How you do that isn't really something people on this forum are specialists in!
