After reading this thread all I can think is - Oh for Gods Sake!

Tip for the OP - if you only stay in Faro Park, you will miss out on our beautiful Island & resort! I live towards the other end of PB near Marina Rubicon and it is all worth seeing in between.
You don't need to hire a car, the bus service (number 30) is excellent. Get out, go see the shops, the beaches, the restaurants, the views - stunning!! Meet the locals, I LOVE living here and I think you'll regret it if you don't go out and about. its not a large resort, but it is beautiful.
Just my opinion!
Enjoy your hols! xxx

Look I'm sorry, I now wish I had kept my feelings to myself as I love the island to bits. I don't want to denigrate where we stayed as the villa was immaculate, but it's suffice to say about 100meters down from the shops. I'm used to dogs barking the Spanish way but this time it was continuous and the owner of the dog was English. It was the dog muck(old and new) on the pavements especially outside the open restaurants, that made us finally say with regret, it was time to leave Faro Park.
Again sorry if I've offended anyone.

So, one dog, some time ago. I could say the same about Epsom or Aberdeen.

I have never stayed in Faro Park, I usually stay in PB itself and have been a few times a year for 6 years. There are barking dogs, unless you go and stay in the middle of a city this is not something you are going to get away from. Playa Blanca is so quiet, you do hear the dogs because there is no other noise at night. Put a fan on or something, get some comfy ear plugs and play some music during the day.

The barking has never a been enough to enjoy me in the slightest. Depends how sensitive you are.

I live about 300 meters from Faro Park. I've just been outside at 2010, and it was so quite, I could hear the engines of a plane going over at 40,00 feet.

No John, that was me drilling a tunnel through the mountain from our house to Le Moka. (two short tunnels really) I can walk through the crater.

Didnt realise there was so many posts after my last one.

So what is the problem with Faro park then ? Too quiet, or too noisy with the dogs ? Or both ?

We have just discovered that someone where my wife works has been to Faro Park three times and loves it and is back at the end of this month. Shes going to check out he location of our villa for us.

We've been going to Faro Park twice a year for ten years (within a five minute walk of the shops and restaurants). There are quite a few dogs but we've never had a problem with barking.
