Hello

I wonder if anyone could help. Last year I went to a tapas bar which was attached to a vineyard on the way to teguise.

I can't remember the name of the place or locate it.

I am looking to rent a very nice villa close by

Thanks

Hi
Will try to help but.......
1/´´on the way to Teguise´´.....from where exactly???
2/Almost every bodega has some form of tapas bar/restaurant attached to it,especially in the wine growing area of La Geria
3/ Rural lets are very few and far between...most accommodation is located around the ´´big 3´´ resorts..not to say it is impossible ...but as no-one has any idea of your preferred location then any options offered may not even be close .
If you can give an idea of a general location for the bodega then possibly people may be able to help..but without anything more than ...´´on the way to Teguise´´ ..then I fear you will struggle.
Also a clue as to whether you were on an organised excursion, and who it was with ,(narrows it down to half a dozen or so),,whether you were on a public bus (narrows it down to a few)...or whether you were in a hire car (could be any of them) :D
Good luck in your search 8)

Thank you very much for the responses, I didn't realise the "error" of my ways in being so vague by saying on the way to teguise.

We were staying in playa blanca, it was on the main road and seemed to be on a long sweeping bend in the road.

As you look at the building the tapas bar was to the right hand side.

I was driving a rental vehicle although a coach party arrived whilst we were there eating

Mmm....could be Bodega Rubicon in the La Geria area on the road from Uga to Teguise (via San Bartolome),,,,,,,equally could be Bodega El Grifo ( same road just further along).....depending on whether you took the La Geria route to Teguise ...on the other hand,íf you took the Fire Mountains route ( from Yaiza to Teguise via Tinajo) then sorry cannot help as like most locals I avoid that route because of the queues to get into Timanfaya National Park, so not ´´au fait´´ with the bodegas along that road.Sorry :(

Does anyone know if the local tour operators go to the Bodegas, I've always fancied going but can't really enjoy the wares if I'm driving.
