 Post subject: Montaña Roja Golf Course in Playa Blanca approved!

It looks like the Golf Course beside Montaña Roja is going to go ahead after all - the Environmental Impact study has been approved for a 700,163m² course on the north slope of the mountain.

Yes, but I wonder how many more rubber stamps have to be applied before it actually starts? I'm not dusting off my clubs or balls yet!

As far as I know, the main problem was the environmental issue - the original site beside Faro Park was made a SPA.

It will be interesting to see if Club Lanzarote want to spend the money on building a Golf Course at the moment.

Living downwind, I hope they do it on rainy days otherwise we are going to be living in a dust storm whilst they landscape it!
