I'm moving to PdC in April 2012. Among our priorities are the purchase of 2 mountain bikes and a leather sofabed (not to use simultaneously don't worry) preferably white, possibly beige.

The main furniture shops are Ikea, and the one whose name I forget about 200 metres down the road into Arrecife, and several on the San Bartolome road out of Arrecife. There is also Gangas upstairs in Tias.

Thanks, I didn't realise there was an Ikea! Whether they have a leather sofabed is debatable. I'll try your suggestions though. What are the waiting-for-delivery times like in Lanzarote? Not like the UK I hope!

The furniture we've bought here has arrived in a day or teo, depending on their van schedule. That's in PB, and I expect it's better in PdC. Ikea is just inside the ring road on the way in from Costa Tequise. The nearby furniture shop is good, and the ones outside the ring road towards San Bart are OK, but you have to drive slowly to spot them.
