Hello all.. Firstly please excuse this post as it's duplicated from another section which didn't receive many views...
We've visited Del Carmen a number of times and will be returning in a couple of weeks. I have to pay for the hotel on arrival and although i have a fee free Santander card that i can use i'm considering other options.
When we were there last year i was in an asian alcohol/tobacco shop located on a corner to the more northern side and whilst in there witnessed a tourist exchanging a huge amount of UK pounds for Euros!
Is it really cheaper to take my GBP over in cash and exchange at one of these places, or exchange at somewhere like the Post office/thomas cook, or indeed use a direct Uk/Euro conversion on my fee free santander card? How would i know if the rate is better before arriving?
Any advice greatly received
