Is it difficult to find rental properties in/near PDC that will accept a dog? Also, does anyone who has already travelled between southern England and Lanzarote with their dog have any advice re transportation options/costs please. We were thinking of driving/using a ferry but it appears that you're at sea for around 5 days so would flying be our only option? Thanks

The sailing for Cadiz to Arrecife is 36 hours and you can visit the dog as often as you like.

I did it over Xmas and was great :)

Thanks Yorick. How much did the crossing cost, what ferry company was it and how did your dog settle down after? Not sure I could handle 36 hours on a ferry, let alone the dog! Thanks

Well, the sailing is 34 hours and soon flew by. All the kennels are on the 4th floor and the walkies area is along the side of deck 5. Plenty of room and all the doggy owners get to know each other :)

There are about 20 kennels and most were full. There was even a bird in one :)

You can access the kennels as much as you like. Some folk just sat by the kennels and some took them upstairs.

It's not quite perfect maybe, but I can't see what else they can do to make it better. Elvis was happy as Larry as he knew I'd be down every hour.

The ferry was about £800 return. About £240 of that was for the cabin which is more than the Hilton :(
Anyway, as they let you wander around deck 4, I was able to get to the camper for cool beer from the fridge. So, next time I book, not gonna book a cabin. Just sneak to the camper and stay in that :)

Thanks for that and the pictures. Really helpful. Did do a quote and as you said the cabins nearly doubled the price. Couldn't find anywhere to actually get a price for the dog though on the form. Did you book online or ring up! Thanks

I just did it online. There's an option to add the dog near the end IIRC :)
