Just back after a well deserved break in PB.

This was my fourth visit and hopefully, not my last.
I ate several nights at this restaurant on the seafront. It is next door to Spices an Indian eating house.
Menu was very varied. A huge plus was that Sandy, the manager allowed children to eat child portion of whatever they wanted, rather than restricting to the more common childrens menu of nuggets, sausage or spagetti bolonese. Service every night was great and a thank you to Sandy, Louis, Linda and Victor!

The lamb chops there are great and Sandy must be the best guy along that front strip.
He is clever, witty, good looking, great at his job and the only reason I wouldn't let him marry my sister is that he supports Barcelona !!!
(if I had a sister)

I think the name of the restaurant is just the "Playa Blanca Restaurant", (it used to be part of "Sun City") and under the name it says "Tipico Espanol".

Great restaurant, we always eat there. In fact, we always try to eat there on the first and last night of our stay, at least. Sandy is great fun, we knew him when he worked in Roca Mar along the seafront, and kinda foloowed him to this place. :D

The Brisa Marina in Playa Blanca is excellent, if a bit pricey. Watched the Euro 2008 final there and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Tipico Canario along a bit before you reach the corner to walk round to Playa Dorada was the best restaurant we ate in. Very reasonable and the sea bass was to die for.

Honourable mention for the pizzas at Mamma Rosso.

I was very impressed with Tipico canario too - our usual 1st night place Romantica was closed for the month and as was 10.30 on a sunday most were closing up including Brisas marina.

Had the fish soup and chateaubriand for two and was very very impressed - and right by the galleria for a quick first night drink too!

We are just back too, I was recommended this forum by a local so had not read this recommendation so will try it next time as we are now the proud owners of a villa in Playa Blanca! at long last! Whilst on I must also pass on a recommendation, we found Cafe Aromas in the Papagaya Centre when looking for some healthy lunch options (to counter balance the high calories from the beer and heavy creamy sauces in the evenings!) they do pack lunches which we utilised for our long beach days down at Papagaya. Ate in a few times too, smoothies, healthy salads, very friendly lady behind the counter (polish?)
