is there anyone who has stayed at Casar del sol in Playa Blanca? It looks very nice on internet. We are a family 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 15 years)who are going to lanzarote in december and it would be nice if somone can recommend a place to stay. Not to expensive, but clean and calm...We want a heated pool and a kitchen.

Paya Blanca is a growing resort which aims to attract what it calls "quality" tourism and almost everything I have seen there falls into this category; no high rise blocks, very tasteful . It is probably the best resort on the island for family holidays and the standards of accomodation (indeed everything) are generally quite high.
If you would like a sneak preview of Playa Blanca and Casas De Sol - Eric Gray's excellent website at http://www.graysworld.co.uk is well worth a look. There is a stunning "photo tour" of the area, and several pages devoted to Casas De Sol.
I have a three week timeshare there next door to Casas De Sol at Las Casitas and my daughter is going to Las Brisas for xmas. All 3 resorts are together and look pretty much of a muchness: very nice clean, tidy and quiet. Kitchens are well appointed - I know as I do the cooking. Outdoor Pools however I am sure are NOT heated - at least I have not come across a heated one yet.
Hope this helps to start you off - dont hesitate to post again/e-mail contact for further info. Sure you'll love PB.
